​With Dr Cantwell and Dr Gill on extended leave and the ongoing difficulty recruiting doctors we currently find ourselves short three GPs.  

A practice of this size with two surgeries would normally have about 4 to 5 GPs. 
 
Our GP shortage, ongoing for two years, has resulted in Dr Spillane working alone most days trying to cover both sites which is logistically impossible.  

This obviously impacts on appointment availability, form filling, prescriptions and paperwork.  We will continue to try to recruit medical staff and utilise locums and hope to have a full complement of GPs soon.
